Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 2026•Effective Immediately

Our Core Privacy Promise:

We do not collect, store, log, or sell your body weight, sex selection, beverages consumed, drinking times, or calculated BAC estimates. All calculations run strictly client-side in your web browser.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike commercial tracking portals or mobile apps, BAC Calculator is architected to eliminate sensitive data collection at the source:

  • No User Accounts: You do not need to register, create a username, or provide an email to use any of our calculators.
  • No Sensitive Input Logging: When you enter your weight, select a biological distribution option, add drinks, or view an estimated BAC range, those values exist only in your device's local memory during your browser session. They are never sent to our servers or stored in any database.
  • No Location Tracking: We do not request your GPS coordinates or track your physical location.

2. Privacy-Conscious Aggregate Analytics

To understand general site traffic and optimize educational content, we may utilize privacy-preserving analytics. In strict adherence to our safety policy, our analytics collect only aggregate event counts, such as:

calculator_started
calculator_completed
standard_drinks_calculated
bac_estimate_viewed
metabolism_estimate_viewed
safety_resources_viewed
article_viewed

Prohibited Analytics Data: We will never attach individual weights, drink amounts, ABV values, timestamps, or calculated BAC numbers as properties to any analytics event.

3. Advertising Standards & Monetization

If non-intrusive advertisements (such as Google AdSense) are displayed on the site:

  • Ads are placed strictly outside calculator controls and result cards to avoid interference.
  • We respect user consent preferences (GDPR/CCPA) prior to loading non-essential cookies where required by law.
  • Ad networks are never granted access to your calculator entries.

4. Contact Form Inquiries

If you voluntarily submit a message through our Contact Page, your name, email, and message are used solely to reply to your feedback or inquiry. We do not add your email to marketing lists or share it with third parties.
